The canoeing flume at the Olympic training centre in Potsdam is worldwide unique in its kind. Water flow speeds of up to 6.50 m/s provide “real competition” training for single and double canoes. Applying varying intensity levels, endurance, strength and speed can effectively be trained in this highly efficient counter-current pool. Our sophisticated measuring equipment meets the highest requirements of IT-based training under consistent external conditions. Athletes and trainers alike highly appreciate all these reproducible top-conditions. This flume is the ideal tool for a precise and efficient performance diagnosis.

This whitewater facility in Rizhao (China) boasts a competition course for canoe slalom, a whitewater rafting course suitable for recreational canoeing and a separate course for children’s training. This whitewater facility with integrated cutting-edge TZ technology is operated using seawater from the Yellow Sea.

The competition course is operated with a water flow of between 14m³/s and 21m³/s, the children's training course uses around 7.0m³/s, and the rafting and recreational course uses a water flow of approximately 14m³/s.

Counter-Current Flume at the Institute for Applied Training Sciences, (IAT) Leipzig
This flume from the TZ Leipzig company has been extended to integrate canoeing training. It now accommodates one- and twosome slalom boats. A floor beam holds the fastening for boat and longe mounts. Athletes are supported by a safety harness fastened to the longe mount. The moveable bridge crossing the flume is equipped with a small platform for an easy entry. When not in usage, the stair platform can be fold up. On a position indicator athletes can check whether they maintain their position and fulfill all training requirements.
